Welcome to Gathering
of The Circle©.
The site is devoted to the
annual gathering of Jiulong Baguazhang instructors and students from
all over the globe.
Since
Shrfu Dr. John Painter began teaching an annual weeklong Jiulong
Baguazhang training camp after the Tai Chi Farm, many people have
traveled far and wide to attend and learn a small portion of this
incredible Baguazhang system. June 2007 saw over 50 people
who
attended the Gathering of
the Circle, which was held at East Stroudsberg
University the week following the annual Zhang Sang Feng Festival 2007.
Each year sees more people coming to learn more about the Jiulong
Baguazhang system and learn from Dr. Painter.
For those of you who already did
not know, the Zhang Sang Feng Festival
is what the Tai Chi Farm has evolved into. Over 400 people
attended
the Festival June 2007 and many different teachers from all over the
nation came to present workshops on varied topics. Vendors
offered many different products ranging from Goji Juice to Bagua Wooden
Men made by Dr. Gary Torres, and Dit
Da Jow as well as great weapons from Shrfu John Lee
and his store: International
Traders
Group
June 2007 saw both Shrfu Painter
and Shrfu Robert Castaldo presenting an incredible program on Yi
Xin Gong as applied to any art
or system. Yi Xin Gong is translated as Intention
Heart Skill. These
skills help you to produce whole body power through a series of
standing postures that are married to a series of special internal
imaging exercises that activate the entire bodies muscular system to
produce maximum effectiveness with minimum effort.
The
Gathering begins with the annual tradition of early morning standing
meditation in the ring of trees close to the dormitory where Shrfu
Painter and Shrfu Castaldo stay during their tenure at the
Gathering.
Standing begins at 6 in the morning and it done daily for the entire
week of training. 2007 had Shrfu Painter and Shrfu
Robert
Castaldo presenting the group to the concepts of Yi Xin Gong. 2008 saw
all who attended, working on Heaven Palm concepts.
